We continue to learn more tonight in the murder of state controller, Kathy Augustine.
These developments come on the eve...of the first court appearance for her accused killer: her husband.
Chaz Higgs is scheduled to be in a Hampton court tomorrow morning.
He's currently being held on a fugitive from justice warrant.
We should find out then...if he's going to fight extradition to Nevada.
Higgs was arrested Friday night by Virginia authorities.
According to our A-B-C affiliate, W-V-E-C, Higgs was taken into custody without incident...in the driveway of his twin brother's house in Hampton.
W-V-E-C is reporting...he'd been on the run since Augustine's funeral, July 15th, splitting time in North Carolina...where his mother lives, and Virginia where his brother and father live.
W-V-E-C also reports Higgs was in Reno, last week, picking up some things that were in storage.
Police say they've had an eye on him, for the past couple months, and knew of his whereabouts.
However, Augustine's daughter hadn't seen Higgs...since his suicide attempt on July 14th.
Higgs is accused of allegedly injecting his wife...with a lethal dose of succinylcholine, a muscle relaxant used in most hospital operating rooms.
Our A-B-C affiliate in Las Vegas, K-T-N-V, is reporting...an autopsy showed a suspicious needle mark on Augustine's body.
The station also reports...the Nevada Board of Nursing has since suspended Higgs' license.
He was a critical care nurse at Carson-Tahoe Regional Medical Center.
Reno police will hold a press conference tomorrow morning at nine..at the Reno Police Department to talk about the case.
