Arrest In Quick Murder Case

A suspect in the killing and sexual assault of a 16-year-old Sparks girl is also accused of raping a University of Nevada, Reno student about two weeks earlier.
Twenty-eight year old Tamir Hamilton was arrested Saturday and
booked on suspicion of raping and killing Holly Quick, a Spanish
Springs High School student who was found dead in her family's
apartment September 15th.
Investigators say Hamilton was a family acquaintance.
Hamilton also was booked for the August 31st attack on the U-N-R
student.
In that case, investigators say the 20-year-old woman had gone
to her brother's apartment to do her laundry when the suspect
confronted her outside the door, pushed her inside, beat her and
sexually assaulted her.
The woman's brother interrupted the attack and chased the man,
who fled.
