Chance Kretschmer scored on a 30-yard run late in the fourth quarter Saturday to spoil Tulsa's comeback and give Nevada a 28-21 victory.

It took Kretschmer only 15 seconds to break a 21-21 tie with 6:17 remaining. He broke free for a 34-yard run on the Wolf Pack's next play and in the next, brushed back Tulsa's defenders to race for the end zone.

Kretschmer ran for another touchdown, threw a touchdown pass and led Nevada (5-2, 3-0 Western Athletic Conference) with 171 yards.

Tulsa (3-4, 1-2 WAC) trailed by 14 points for much of the game. But Uril Parrish scored twice on fourth quarter runs of 20 and 2 yards to bring the Golden Hurricane even.

Parrish finished with 148 yards rushing and scored all three of the Golden Hurricane's touchdowns.

Kretschmer, who played sparingly in Nevada's 28-17 upset last week at Washington because of a bruised shoulder, at times bulldozed his way through Tulsa.

He ran for 36 yards and a touchdown in the Wolf Pack's opening 80-yard drive and scored again just before the half in a throwback pass to quarterback Andy Heiser.

Heiser finished with 138 yards and one touchdown, a 31-yard pass to Willie Johnson that gave Nevada a 14-0 first quarter lead.

Tulsa and Nevada entered the game tied for the WAC lead in turnover margin. The Golden Hurricane, however, finished with five turnovers, including three fumbles.
