Freedom was brief for a man who fled from a Yerington courtroom.
David Tyrrell Gray, 30, of Stagecoach was taken back to the Lyon County Jail following his capture Monday night, authorities said.
Earlier that day, Gray was ordered to serve a previous sentence after violating terms of a drug court program.
When deputies went to take him into custody, he bolted out of the courtroom, authorities said.
"He managed to escape. I imagine his adrenaline was pumped and he was pretty hyped up,"said Lyon County Sheriff's Capt. Jeff Page said.
Thirty-five officers from the sheriff's office, Yerington police, Nevada Highway Patrol, Reno police K-9 unit and the Washoe County sheriff's Raven helicopter searched for Gray.
He as found five hours later hiding under heavy brush near the Walker River.
