A former substitute teacher on probation for getting her 9-year-old daughter to pose nude for a Web camera won't go to prison for a probation violation, a judge ruled Wednesday.
Jill Fletcher, 37, faced possible revocation after her probation officer found two of her other children had been living with her full-time without permission of authorities.
"For whatever reason, I had the understanding that I could have the kids," Fletcher told Carson District Judge Mike Griffin. "I would do anything to protect my kids. They are No. 1 in my life."
"Your children have no place else to go except to you or to foster care. Foster care doesn't make sense to me," Griffin said, adding that a psychologist said the children are in no danger.
Last November, Griffin suspended Fletcher's sentence of up to three years in prison and put her on probation for five years after she pleaded guilty to preparing and distributing child pornography.
