The federal trial for former Reno radio personality Walter "Eddie" Floyd is off until at least January.
Floyd, who's accused of growing and selling marijuana, was to
have gone on trial next week. A judge agreed to the postponement
after Floyd's attorney cited his client's declining mental health
and the complexity of the case.
According to an indictment handed up in February, Floyd and his
son, Joshua, conspired with others to grow marijuana on Floyd's
property in Doyle, California.
The former host of the "Nevada Matters" talk show then
allegedly sent the dope to Kentucky, where it was sold. The
proceeds were laundered through Floyd's real estate business.
He's now set to go on trial January eighth.
