Gibbons-Titus Debate

Organizers of a Reno gubernatorial debate say
minority party candidates won't be included.
The Republican nominee, Congressman Jim Gibbons, last week said
he wanted third party candidates included in the September 25th
debate with state Senate Minority Leader Dina Titus, who won the
Democratic nomination.
But a representative of debate sponsor Youth Voice says it's too
late to change the format.
Organizers say the one-hour debate at the University of Nevada,
Reno, will focus on concerns of younger voters.
It will be the first of four Gibbons-Titus debates scheduled
before Election Day. Two other debates are scheduled in Las Vegas
and one in Elko.
