A local bus service slated to be cut was saved this morning thanks to the Regional Transportation Commission.
The RTC unanimously approved more than $150,000 to keep the PRIDE busses running. The PRIDE service is a inter-city commuter service between Reno and Carson city.
Everyday dozens of folks rely on the service to get them to and from work, school, and many other destinations.
"The PRIDE provides ample transportation to people who could'nt afford to travel from Reno to Carson City, said PRIDE used Dave Love.
Carson City also paid $110,000 dollars to fund PRIDE for another year.
