The Sparks City Council has announced a special meeting in response to the controversy surrounding the "Lazy 8" settlement.
The Council recently settled a lawsuit with Developer Red Hawk Land Company, to allow the controversial resort-casino to be built, in exchange for Developer Harvey Whittemore dropping a lawsuit.
However, the State Attorney General threatened possible charges because the city violated the Public Meeting Law, by conducting the settlement behind closed doors.
The settlement will be reconsidered in a public meeting, which will be held Wednesday, September 20th at 3 PM at Sparks City Hall, located at
745 4th Street.
