It looks like a major apartment fire yesterday was started by children playing with matches or a lighter.
Twelve units were destroyed in the fire at the R-&-R complex on
A total of 34 people are left without homes.
The fire broke out shortly before 6 o'clock Tuesday evening. It took firefighters several hours to contain the flames. Investigators are still questioning witnesses to confirm the cause.
"Witnesses tell us they saw fire on the exterior of the building near
a bush or tree and they saw people running from the fire," said fire chief Larry Farr.
One firefighter was knocked out by a piece of falling debris but he's been treated and is doing well. No one else was hurt.
