We want to bring you up to date on the breaking news we told
you about at the beginning of this newscast.
Firefighters are still battling an apartment fire near the intersection of Vassar and Harvard in central Reno. As one can see from our Skycam that it is still putting up a lot of smoke.
Our crew is now reporting that the roof is about to collapse and
firefighters have moved back from the building.
Ambulances are standing by, but so far no one has been injured. Oxygen tanks have been brought in to assist firefighters.
Police have closed Harvard Way North of Vassar Street to keep
people out of the area, which is in the 1100-block of Harvard Way.
Residents who live into he apartment complex are telling us the fire started outside the building near some bushes.
