Wal-mart won't be coming to Lemmon Valley anytime soon.
The Wal-mart Supercenter planned for Lemmon Drive just west of the U.S. 395 interchange has been nixed after the company couldn't secure the land.
A Wal-mart spokesman said the retail giant will start looking for another location in the North Valley area.
Earlier in August, Wal-mart opened a distribution center in Storey County that serves 72 Wal-marts in California and Nevada.
