A Carson City man has been sentenced to nine years in prison for unintentionally shooting his friend in the head.
21-year old Donald Lee Davis had been facing charges of involuntary manslaughter, and for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
He is accused of killing Zackary Warren at a home on Carson River Road on July 15th.
Investigators say Davis was playing with a .45-caliber handgun when he pointed it at Warren's head and pulled the trigger.
Davis fled the home and was found eight hours later in a North Carson Street Lumber yard.
