The University of Nevada, Reno has been selected to play in the NIT preseason basketball tournament this fall.
The Wolf Pack will host Vermont at the Lawlor Events Center in a first-round game on Nov. 17.
Sixteen teams have been picked for the tourney. The winner of the Nevada-Vermont game will advance to face the winner of the first-round match up between Yale and Connecticut.
The other first-round games in Nevada's side of the bracket announced in New York today are Hofstra at Marist and Louisiana Lafayette at Georgia Tech.
The semifinals and finals will be played Nov. 26 and Nov. 28 at Madison Square Garden.
The other first-round games on the other side of the bracket are: Georgia State at Utah, Missouri-Kansas City at Minnesota, Saint Francis of New York at Massachusetts and Davidson at Texas Tech.
