KOLO 8 Makes Digital Switch Early
The broadcasting industry is set to begin transmitting exclusively in digital on February 17th, but KOLO 8 flipped the switch early turning off our analogue signal just after 11:00 AM on Monday January 12th.

Since your station's conversion I have experienced volume problemsas well as the screen freezing. Sometimes I have had to increase the volume sooooo loud I feel like my neighbors can hear it. The screen "freezes" too. Is this something the station is working on to correct? Thanks for a response. I do have Direct TV.

Isn't it kind of silly to continue to tell folks about the 'digital' converter change when you are now totally digital and not analog? The folks who NEED the converter box cannot see - nor hear - the information - and we who can are tired of the constant barrage of the converter information.
I will miss you channel 8 - you were my fav! But because there are still analog channels that won't come in when you use the converter box, and everyone else is converting on the 17th, (that I get) I have decided to stay analog, for choice. I can't afford an antenna, and live in a blockwalled (basement room) - so I have to wait until I can spend the 60.00 - I'll be missing you until then - maybe can catch you on the web - (a multi-room building, but there is no roof antenna, and won't be one)And my old rabbit ears is too antique - so I need a "gain" for digital antenna - Arghhh - Thank you! Hope to be again veiwing soon!
