The former girlfriend of Christopher Fiegehen says he threatened to kill himself hours before allegedly stabbing her stepfather to death and shooting her mother.

In testimony yesterday, Alane Dockstader said dated Fiegehen for about a year and a half before breaking up with him in January 2002 -- just weeks before he allegedly attacked her mother and stepfather in their home.

Fiegehen is charged with first-degree murder for the February 10th, 2002 pre-dawn attack that killed 50-year-old Alan Chorkey.

He is charged with attempted murder for allegedly shooting Chorkey's wife, Lorelle, in the head.

The woman, now, 55, survived and prosecutors say she identified Fiegehen as the assailant before she was taken into surgery.

The trial before Douglas District Judge David Gamble continues today in Minden.
