Sparks DUI Checkpoint

The Sparks Police Department, with the assistance of the Reno Police Department, Washoe County Sheriff's Department, Carson City Sheriff's Department, University Police Department and the Nevada Highway Patrol, conducted a joint DUI checkpoint on the evening of December 20, 2008.

This was the largest joint DUI checkpoint in the northern region with an estimated thirty or more officers participating from the six participating agencies. The checkpoint began at approximately 7:00 p.m. and was completed at approximately 11:00 p.m. at Pyramid Highway at David James Drive.
