Secretary of State Dean Heller barely defeated state Assemblywoman Sharron Angle in the Nevada's tightest statewide race, capturing the Republican primary battle for the second congressional district by 427 votes.
That's the seat Jim Gibbons is leaving to run for governor.
His wife, Dawn, finished well behind.
With all but a handful of votes tallied, Heller had 36 percent
to 35 percent for Angle and 25 percent for Dawn Gibbons.
The numbers are 24-thousand-771 for Heller to 24-thousand-334
The Angle campaign says it's weighing its options and will not
concede until looking at the final counts in each county later
