Scientists studying at Lake Tahoe will soon have a new, state-of-the-art research facility to call home.
The Tahoe Center for Environmental Sciences will open this month on the campus of Sierra Nevada College in Incline Village. It represents a partnership of public and private institutions in three states.
Experts call it a world-class facility where scientists will focus on preserving the delicate ecosystem of Lake Tahoe and other threatened lakes and watersheds around the world.
