A suspected murder victim found in the stairwell of a Lake Street motel has been identified as a 40-year-old Stead man.
Reno police are investigating the death of Paul E. Werner has a homicide.
Werner's body was found in the stairwell at the Americana Inn Sunday night.
Investigators say he had injuries to his head and face. They also believe he was attacked in a room. Witnesses reported that three men had been in the room earlier in the evening.
The investigation is continuing.
