Late Evenings:
Despite the best efforts of the Police Department, there will be times when you can expect intense grid-lock conditions throughout the downtown corridor, especially on Friday and Saturday evenings. We recommend that you prepare for these conditions, and be prepared to park your vehicle(s) away from the area and walk in to your business or residence. In years past, traffic has not cleared until the early morning hours.

Other Closures:
During times of traffic problems, street closures may be extended in all directions to eliminate public safety problems. There may be times when traffic will be detoured as far away as Arlington Avenue on the west, and Evans Avenue or even Wells Avenue on the east. While we recognize the inconvenience this brings you, we will put forth our best efforts to accommodate residents and guests alike in returning to their homes or rooms. Most barricade locations will be staffed with HAN and/or RPD personnel willing to assist you in getting to where you need to go.

Most downtown properties are providing their guests with street passes to help them arrive at their respective destinations with as little of a delay as possible. Additionally, local hospitals are providing passes to their personnel to facilitate passage to the local hospitals.
