The first case of West Nile Viurs in Carson City for 2006 was reported Tuesday.
Carson City Health and Human Services say the person is under age 50, and does live in Carson City. Few other details were provided.
However, the person has the less severe form of the disease, West Nile Fever.
Health Officials urge you to use an insect repellant containing DEET when outdoors, especially at dusk and dawn when mosquitoes are most active.
