The Bureau of Land Management has removed 95 wild horses from central Nevada and moved them to Palomino Valley.
The federal agency says the horses were rounded up last week
from the Pilot Mountain Herd Management Area in Mineral County,
about 20 miles southeast of Hawthorne.
The animals were taken to the National Wild Horse and Burro
Center in Palomino Valley north of Reno, where they will be placed
for adoption.
Officials say about 250 wild horses remain on the 255-thousand
acre management area.
