A body was found in the Truckee River on Monday, but authorities said it was not immediately known if it was a man who disappeared in the river a week ago after jumping from a bridge.
A passer-by reported seeing the body of a man floating in the
river near Galletti Way just before noon.
On June 9, Jonathan Taylor, 52, jumped in the river from the
Arlington Street bridge in downtown Reno to show off for some
juveniles, witnesses told police.
The juveniles said that after he jumped in the water, Taylor
bobbed up on the east side of the bridge with a cut on his forehead
and looked to be struggling. Once he hit the rapids, he
Rescue crews searched the river for several days, but found no
sign of him.
