New Controller Sworn In

Nevada has a new State Controller, just two days after Kathy Augustine's death.

Republican Steve Martin was sworn in Thursday afternoon in his hometown of Las Vegas. Governor Kenny Guinn appointed him to the post Wednesday, to fill out the remainder of Augustine's term.

Martin is also in the running for the Controller's job on the November ballot, against Democrat Kim Wallin and Independent Floyd Fitzgibbons.
