Flint Fire

By  |

Fire crews have been working through the heat of the day to put out yet another wildfire in the region.

The fire started Sunday and it's burning east of Carson City near the Carson City Landfill and a shooting range off of Flint Drive. It didn't take long for it to grow from 15 acres to nearly 200.

No structures are under any immediate threat of danger, and the fire may have been human-caused.

A command unit is setting up structure protection as a precautionary measure. The fire is about 30 percent contained, but continues to burn towards the east.
