A Nye County teenager has been arrested and could face criminal charges as an adult for shooting and killing an 18-year-old woman in Pahrump.
Police say the 15-year-old teen was handling a rifle at a friend's house when he shot the woman Friday night. The Nye County Sheriff says the boy didn't know the rifle was loaded when he pointed it at the female friend's head and pulled the trigger.
The Nye County District Attorney's Office is being asked to charge the boy as an adult with voluntary manslaughter.
