At about 12:45 Monday afternoon, Murlyn Ronk, from Elko, had to land his airplane on I-80. Ronk noticed a low oil pressure warning and decided to make the emergency landing two miles east of Elko.
He was able to land his plane safely and some passing drivers helped him push it off the highway.
Ronk was not injured. Once repairs are completed he will take off from the interstate and land back at the Elko Airport.
