Snow flakes are currently falling in various areas of western Nevada.

We've been seeing snow this morning at the KOLO 8 News Now studios, near Rock & Mill in Reno.

One of our photographers in Spanish Springs also reported snow near Vista & Los Altos Parkway.

Our viewers & web users have been reporting snow in downtown Reno, Sparks, and Fallon.

Snow is expected to taper off throughout the night.

We have about 1-2 inches and the snow continues to fall here at 11:30 PM.

IT STARTED SNOWING HERE EARLY THIS MORNING AND WAS COMING DOWN PRETTY GOOD UNTIL 30 MIN. AGO. THE SNOW IS NOT STICKING, BUT WAS FALLING AT A GOOD RATE.

It stopped snowing, but we've got at least 2 1/2" on the ground

I woke up to a smattering of snow on the ground. It's been off and on all day, mixed with a few moments of sunshine. It's cold and windy, too.

Snow is coming down pretty hard over here on Nevada St. a few hundred yards west of the UNR dorms.

Sparks area just before Eagle Canyon and La Posada is experiencing a steady fall of snow with spotted accumulation. Been snowing like this about 40 min, visibility reduced and Pyramid Hwy is a little slippery at some spots.

We have had snow on and off all morning and it is sticking. It is snowing right now. Lake affect?

It's been actually snowing here for about 30 minutes. My lawn is slowly turning white, not sticking to the road yet, but I'm sure it will soon if it keeps up like this...

Partly cloudy and about 70 degrees at the Beach, So Cal, no Snow flurries at this time. Heading to Reno for Homecomind/Football next week ,lets warm up!!!

It has been moderately snowing here in Fernley for a couple of hours this morning and appears to have stopped by 9:15 AM. It was not sticking except for some rooftops.

Nice powder everywhere...all the rooftops are white and some of the branches on my trees are bent from the weight of the snow.

A few flakes fell a few minutes ago. Didn't stick, and has now stopped.

Here in Lemmon Valley at about 7:00am we woke to light snow on the roof tops and snow flurrys.

Just letting you know, it has been snowing here since 7;30. Some fairly active showers are now in progress at 9:15am

about a half inch to an inch of snow here. doesnt look like its gonna stick. i had a feeling i would be getting my moneys worth from a squaw pass this year!

Snow is falling and sticking out here. Moderate bodies of water are freezing (horse wateres etc.) The animals don't seem to mind, I think its a nice change from the heat.

Here too....in the housing area about a block from the Pyramid/McCarren intersection....First time I have ever had snowflakes on my birthday!
