RENO, Nev. (AP) - The Clarence and Martha Jones Family Foundation is pledging $2 million to the William N. Pennington Student Achievement Center at the University of Nevada, Reno.

The 75,000 square-foot building will be located at the site of the former Getchell Library, which is being demolished. It will bring under one roof student services that are now offered at various places on campus.

A groundbreaking for the $44 million project is anticipated this summer. Grand opening is targeted for early 2016.

The William N. Pennington Foundation donated $6 million toward the effort.

UNR officials say the center's second floor will be named in honor of Clarence and Martha Hansen Jones, both longtime supporters of the university.
