The fatal plane crash in Reno wasn't the only aerial accident that happened on Wednesday. A second crash happened in Carson City just hours prior to the deadly one in Reno.
Authorities are investigating why a single-engine plane crashed on Apollo Street in Northeast Carson City.
The pilot told authorities that he realized he wouldn't be able to make it to the airport when his plane lost power mid-air. He then set his plane down on the street, but not before smashing into a wooden fence.
Amazingly the pilot was able to walk away unhurt. The National Transportation Safety Board, or NTSB, will remain on the scene.
