Two Businesses Robbed on Saturday

Police are investigating two robberies that happened Saturday night in the Reno-Sparks area.

The Silver State Schools Credit Union in the Raley's Shopping Center on Robb Drive was robbed first, where the armed suspect got away with an unknown amount of cash. The suspect is described as dark-skinned, around 5'7" with a medium build. Witnesses say he spoke with an accent, possibly Middle Eastern or European.

The second robbery happened at Ricardo's Mexican Food on Greenbrae Drive in Sparks. Police say after the suspect got his cash he took off running, but was later spotted at an apartment complex on Sullivan Lane. At that point, police were unable to locate the suspect. The suspect is described as a black man, 25 years old, and around six feet tall with a skinny build.
