A jury handed Michael Bernard Wadsworth a 50-year prison sentence on Tuesday for the 2005 murder of Jose Esparza.
Prosecutors held that Wadsworth shot Esparza on March 13th at the Nesa Market on Oliver Street, when the victim tried to help a friend who was being attacked by his companion.
Wadsworth won't be eligible for parole until 2026.
