Bureau of Land Management Officials are warning people to stay out of some popular back-country areas of Northern Nevada until they dry out.
Officials are asking people to stay away from the Black Rock Desert near Gerlach, even though the ground appears dry and solid. Additionally, the main road to the Lovelock Cave Archaeological Site near Lovelock is closed after the Humboldt River flooding washed out the roadway.
These warnings come after an unusually wet spring here in Nevada.
