Several Shootings Result in One Fatality

Local law enforcement officers were busy all day on Sunday in three separate shootings, one of them fatal.

Washoe County Sheriff's Office Officials say a woman was killed around 9 AM in a home on Grand Lady Court in Sun Valley.

Investigators believe her death was accidental, but will be considering it suspicious until the investigation is over. Her name has not yet been released.

Deputies said they interviewed some people about the shooting, but no arrests were immediately made.

Meanwhile, Reno Police were responding to reports of a second shooting at Club Underground on Fourth Street. They were unable to locate any victims when they arrived, but they did find two shell casings inside the club, and several outside the club on both sides of Fourth Street.

Investigators suspect a gunfight broke out inside the club, but then quickly moved outside.

Witnesses say at least one person was shot, but no victims have come forward so far. Two business on Fourth Street and a parked car were hit by stray bullets.

The third shooting was reported Sunday afternoon around 2:45. That's when police responded to the 800 Block of Thoma Street.

Officials sat Thomas Dickinson, 38, had gotten into a fight with his female roommate, took out a gun, and fired twice. The victim was hit once in the stomach, and taken to the hospital. Luckily, her injuries are not life-threatening.

Dickerson was treated for a cut to the head and then booked in the Washoe County Jail for attempted murder and domestic battery.
