The war in Iraq has claimed another Nevada soldier.

Staff Sergeant Emmanuel L. Legaspi, 38, died of injuries he sustained when his unit came under small arms fire during combat operations in Tal Afar.

Legaspi was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 36th Infantry Regiment, First Brigade Combat Team, 1st Division. He had listed Las Vegas as his hometown.
