Two Nevada soldiers lost their lives during the last week, one here at home and the other overseas.

The second soldier was Sergeant John Griffith, of Henderson, who was killed on Friday when his Chinook helicopter crashed in Afghanistan. He was among ten soldiers who died in the crash.

Sergeant Daniel M. Quaine, of Winnemucca, was killed Saturday when the Humvee he was in rolled during a training exercise at Fort Carson, Colorado. The unidentified driver of the Humvee was treated at a nearby hospital and released. Both soldiers were members of the Second Brigade Combat Team.
