RENO, Nev. (AP) - The Nevada Highway Patrol says a California man apparently en route to the Burning Man festival is facing multiple felony drug charges after he was stopped by a trooper on a remote highway.
The patrol says Rasheed Salik Lindsay, 38, was stopped Tuesday night on SR 447, the rural highway north of Reno that leads to the Black Rock Desert where the annual event championing art and free expression is under way.
Trooper Chuck Allen says Lindsay, who had an expired driver's license and registration, was booked on possession of cocaine, ecstasy and marijuana.
