RENO, Nev. (AP) - Two men have pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter for stomping a homeless man to death in a downtown
Reno park.
Twenty-year-old Christopher Michael Maciolek and 19-year-old Finley Byrdette Fultz face up to 10 years in prison when sentenced in October for the Sept. 3 beating death of James Markham Beasley.
Police say the 55-year-old Beasley was sleeping in Brick Park when the pair, yelling white supremacy remarks, kicked him in the head and stomped on him.
Beasley died later at a hospital.
A prosecutor called the attack an alcohol-fueled "thrill seeking spree."
