Baseball Bat Beating in Northwest Reno

Reno Police were dispatched to a parking lot on the corner of Mae Ann and North McCarran Friday night, where they discovered a beaten 22-year-old man.

The man was unconscious and had suffered from a head wound. Witnesses told police the man had been hit in the head by a suspect wielding a baseball bat, and then fled the scene in a silver-colored 2001 Dodge SUV. The license plate reads: 704-TAD

The suspect is described as a white male, in his late 20s, roughly 5'9" and a medium build.

This beating incident, along with a separate brawl at Hacienda Bar and Restaurant just a few blocks away, happened during Cinco de Mayo festivities.
