Cinco de Mayo Stabbings

Cinco de Mayo celebrations turned violent early this morning after a fight broke out at a popular northwest Reno restaurant.

Officers responded around 3 AM to the Hacienda Bar and Restaurant on North McCarran, where they found one man lying unconscious on the ground. Police say he'd been kicked repeatedly in the head.

Witnesses tell police there were roughly 15 to 20 people involved in the fight.

Both Washoe Medical Center and Saint Mary's Hospital say they had several stabbing victims show up at the Emergency Room.

Details about what started the fight are sketchy, but police did find a knife in the area near the unconscious victim. At this time, none of the injuries appear to be life-threatening. Tonight the entire incident is still under investigation.
