First Official Filing Day for State Candidates

By  |

State candidates met with Governor Kenny Guinn and Secretary of State Dean Heller today at the state capitol in Carson City.

Today was the first official filing day for candidates, even though some of them have been campaigning for several months.

State Senate Minority Leader Dina Titus signed all the forms and paid her fee to enter the governor's race along with Jim Gibbons.

Political watchers say there could be some surprise candidates to file during the next two weeks, but it is unlikely.

Official filing closes May 12th.
