Sierra Nevada College Gets $200,000 Gift

INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. (AP) - An anonymous donor has contributed
$200,000 to Sierra Nevada College at Lake Tahoe.

College President Robert C. Maxson says the gift is to be used for scholarships to deserving students at the private school in Incline Village.

The four-year liberal arts college offers post-baccalaureate teacher certification as well as a master of arts in teaching programs.

Maxson says the contribution should help attract some of the best and brightest students from around the country. In his words, "There is no better gift than one that goes for scholarships to reward high-achieving young people."
