Two California women were arrested in Reno on various charges when officers allegedly found drugs and paraphernalia in their car following a traffic stop.
The Nevada Highway Patrol said the women's car was pulled over
on U.S. 395 Monday night after an off-duty officer reported it was
weaving in traffic.
According to the patrol, the driver, Genoveva Hernandez-Romero,
34, of Portola, allowed the vehicle to be searched. Authorities
said the woman had a small digital scale in her jacket pocket, and
they found drug paraphernalia with methamphetamine residue in the

prescription medications, the patrol said.
Hernandez-Romero was arrested and booked on six drug-related
charges, authorities said.
A passenger in the car, Kimberlie Maffei, 44, also of Portola,
was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant and suspicion of being under
the influence of a controlled substance, the patrol said.
