FALLON, Nev. (AP) - The state fire marshal's office is investigating the cause of a trailer fire that claimed the life of a 64-year-old Fallon woman.
Ilene Lee died in Friday night's fire at the Deluxe Mobile Park
but her name was not released until her next of kin had been
notified on Tuesday.
Fred Rogne, chief of the Fallon-Churchill Volunteer Fire Department, says the fire most likely started due to Lee smoking cigarettes but he says the cause remains under investigation.
Neighbors say Lee lived alone and used an electric wheelchair in
the single-wide trailer. An unknown man attempted to reach the
front door before fire crews arrived, but couldn't get in because
of smoke and flames.
