Two women from Sparks were injured and three other people were killed this morning in a two-car accident near Tampa, Florida.
46-year-old Victoria Weaver and 73-year-old Lilia Foster are in
critical condition at Tampa General Hospital.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office says 62-year-old Emily
Manzano of Brandon, Florida, was returning from the airport with
four passengers when a Dodge Durango struck the driver's side of
her Mercedes sedan at an intersection. Weaver and Foster were
passengers in the Mercedes.
Manzano and 58-year-old Sonia Medders, of Oceanside, California,
were pronounced dead at the scene. 38-year-old Juliebeth Olega, of
Clifton Heights, Pennsylvania, died later at Brandon Regional
Hospital.
Sheriff's spokesman J-D Callaway said all passengers in the
Mercedes were related, though it was not immediately clear how.
Manzano's daughter was to be married Saturday.
Brandon is about 12 miles east of Tampa.
