Reno Man Arrested After Leaving Infant in Car

RENO, Nev. (AP) - A 50-year-old Reno man has been arrested on a
charge of child neglect after police say he left his infant foster child alone in a car while he shopped for groceries.

Emmanuel Gbenjo was booked into the Washoe County Jail on Monday.

Police say a local citizen hailed an officer about 10:30 that morning after seeing the three-month-old child left in the vehicle in front of a grocery store in Lemmon Valley.

Gbenjo eventually came out of the store with a cart full of groceries and his three other foster children.

Paramedics examined the baby, who was in good health. It wasn't
known how long the child had been left in the vehicle.

Child protective service workers took all four children into custody.
