If you want people to come downtown, it has to be user friendly. In this difficult economy, it seems foolish to discourage people from enjoying downtown by raising parking meter rates.
there is lots of free parking available downtown but if people aren't clever enough to figure out where, why should i explain?
If you need to spend 5 hours (typical Court business time), it is cheaper to pay the $10.00 fine. Oh wait, here we go! Up the fine to $25.00! Reno is beginning to look way, too California.
The solution is simple; Don't patronize downtown Reno for any reason. It is too bad for the business owners but, maybe they should try re-locating. After all, Reno is not the only place to shop & do business. I have lived in the Truckee Meadows for 60 years and Reno has always found a way too shoot themselves in the foot.
Is this the democratic run council?,by raising parking meters with out the peoples in put you forget the people voted you in and they can also vote you out.
Its bad for business ,it starting to feel like California ,what next?
