Elko County Sheriff Neil Harris says the trio was found about 11
miles outside of Charleston early today after one man hiked to
within cell phone range to summon help.
Authorities say an Elko woman reported them missing earlier when
they failed to return from an outing, but search efforts were
hampered because no one knew where to look.
Harris says people should avoid backcountry travel until roads
But he says people who do venture out should tell someone where
they're going, when they'll be back -- and stick to those plans.
