Nevada GOP Won't Reconvene Convention
The Nevada Republican Party says it won't reconvene its state convention because it cannot find enough delegates to attend.

According to RNC rule 15 (c) (1) (ii), the State GOP can only appoint the national delegates “where specifically provided by state law”. NRS 293.150 tells us that the State Convention is to select the national delegates, while NRS 293.160 discusses the powers of the committees of the various state-level political parties. Nowhere in NRS 293 does the law allow for the state party to appoint the national delegates. Thus, the NV GOP will be in violation of RNC rules and Nevada state law when/if they appoint the national delegates. -- Ed
